Technology, Innovation and Teamwork at the Highest Level

Formula Student combines innovative vehicle development, hands-on engineering and teamwork under real competition conditions. This is exactly what makes the collaboration with Rennteam Uni Stuttgart e.V. particularly exciting for JANUS Engineering.

Rennteam Uni Stuttgart e.V. consists of more than 50 members from over ten nationalities and four universities. In seven subteams, students from different disciplines work together on the development and realization of the vehicle.

In-house manufacturing also plays a central role. The team produces, among other things, carbon components such as the monocoque, aerodynamic elements and molds, as well as electrical components including wiring harnesses, circuit boards and motors. More than 600 individual parts are produced through in-house machining.

Formula Student Germany 2026

Formula Student is an international engineering competition in which university teams put their self-developed race cars to the test in both dynamic disciplines and static presentations.

In the 2026 season, the team competed with the electric X0711-3 race car. Powered by four in-house developed electric motors, the latest vehicle generation focuses on aerodynamics, weight reduction and overall performance. The package is complemented by a newly designed high-voltage battery and numerous optimizations to the electrical system.

The team also delivered strong results on track: at Formula Student Czech, Rennteam Uni Stuttgart finished second overall. After a seventh-place finish at Formula Student Austria, the season concluded with Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring. There, the team finished tenth overall and achieved third place in both Engineering Design and Endurance.

Knowledge Transfer for the Manufacturing of Tomorrow

With this cooperation, we aim not only to support the team as a sponsor, but also to contribute to selected technical topics. These include our software AIDO and training, a postprocessor for a 5-axis milling machine, as well as further joint projects.

In this way, the partnership combines support for young engineering talent with the practical application of modern manufacturing technologies and creates opportunities for mutual knowledge transfer.
