When JANUS was founded, digital manufacturing was at a very different stage of development than it is today. From the very beginning, the company supported its customers with solutions based on UNIGRAPHICS, now known as Siemens NX, and IMAN, the predecessor of Teamcenter. From the first CAD and CAM solutions to digital process chains, automation and artificial intelligence, JANUS has accompanied and actively shaped this transformation over the past three decades.

Looking at the Entire Process Chain

As digitalization advances, the demands placed on manufacturing companies continue to grow. Today, success is no longer about optimizing individual processes, but about intelligently connecting the entire value chain. This is where iM by JANUS comes into play. The concept aims to connect people, processes and technologies to create a seamless digital value chain. Rather than focusing on isolated solutions, iM takes a holistic view of manufacturing. From product development and production planning to manufacturing operations, processes are connected, information becomes transparent and opportunities across the entire process chain can be fully leveraged.

People Make the Difference

Despite all technological progress, one factor has remained unchanged over the years: the people behind JANUS. We are especially grateful for the many colleagues who have been part of JANUS for 20 or even 25 years. Their experience, commitment and loyalty have played a significant role in shaping the company.

Martin Marquardt, who has been part of JANUS for 25 years, describes this development as follows:
