JANUS Engineering AG and DSC Software AG are pooling their expertise in a strategic partnership. The aim is to provide manufacturing companies with end-to-end processes in SAP - from CAM and tool management to the shop floor.
The new FCTR++TechnologyManagerIntegration solution, which connects the JANUS Technology Manager directly to SAP, takes centre stage. Tool and production data from NX CAM is transferred to the individual SAP system landscape in a structured manner. NC programmes can be transferred from SAP to the machine and reported back - for complete process reliability and traceability.
"We responded promptly to the requirements of our customers who use the JANUS Technology Manager for tool management in NX CAM. Their desire to link this data with the SAP system and thus enable continuous, seamless processes is now being fulfilled with our new FCTR++TechnologyManagerIntegration solution from DSC and JANUS Engineering. Employees on the shop floor can access all relevant data in real time via DSC's worker information system - a further step towards the paperless factory. In addition, NC programmes can be transferred directly from the SAP system to the machine and vice versa," explains Michael Di Giovanni, Senior Vice President Business Development at DSC Software AG.
With the JANUS Technology Manager, JANUS Engineering has been offering an established solution for efficient tool management directly in NX CAM for years. The new SAP connection forms the basis for a seamless flow of information between the CAM system and SAP.
